Your mission

You will be responsible for the continuous development of the sales and profitability of the Instruments business multi branding and multi-Channel. You are a coach and a leader for the sales teams, allowing them to succeed by developing competencies and strengthening sales processes. You develop combined business roadmaps with other entities of the Essilor Luxottica Group, with a long-term focus on the Ophthalmic & optometric instrumentation business. 

 

As an Executive Committee member of Axis Medical Services, your inputs, your collaborative approaches, and your global vision are very helpful to succeed the transformation of the Organization of Axis, leading the company to become the number 1 in Optic Instrumentation offers in Canada.  

 

Your main challenges:

  • Set-up and lead annual sales roadmaps
    • Develop, Expand and Optimize sales (Turnover, Margin, quantities) in your territories notably by 
    • Implementing across Canada the teleoptometry solution to all ECP (Eye care professionals)
    • Rebuilding the Edgers business
    • Developing the sales of Ophthalmic & Optometric instruments in all market segments 
    • Driving results in the way expected on financial reviews 
  • Build joint offers and market approaches with Lenses, Sun, and Retail businesses
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service Departments all the product launches and marketing operations. 
  • Manage sales team composed of about 15 salespeople specialized in one of the two main markets: Finishing Business and Optometry Business
    • Develop and transform the way and the processes to do business, adapting them to the transformation of the business towards Visual Care

Your profile:

  • 10 years of proven working experience in business development management role in B2B and in Key Account management.
  • Experience in the Medical healthcare industry, in hospitals, in the Ophthalmic industry, or proven knowledge in the field of refraction and diagnostic equipment (preferred).
  • University degree (MBA preferred).
  • Business acumen
  • Analytical skills
  • Financial knowledge: full understanding of P&L and Working Capital management (inventory, receivables)
  • Excellent methodical, tactical, and sales skills
  • An ability to negotiate effectively and at the highest level.

  • Excellent Leadership / Convincing personality with natural authority
  • A strong capacity of management and animation multi-network and multi-cultural 
  • Operational abilities, able to deliver
  • Effective problem–solving and mediation skills.
  • Sales development-oriented

  • Fluent both in French and English
