Two Essential Diagnostics. One Powerful Device.
The Huvitz HTG-1D brings together comprehensive corneal topography and advanced dry eye diagnosis in a single, compact instrument. For Canadian eye care professionals looking to streamline their diagnostic workflow without sacrificing clinical depth, the HTG-1D delivers the precision and versatility your practice demands.
The HTG-1D is an integrated solution that combines corneal topography and dry eye diagnosis into a single device, enabling a comprehensive assessment of overall ocular health. Rather than managing two separate instruments — with separate workflows, separate data, and separate footprints — your team can capture everything in one efficient examination.
Examinations that previously required two separate instruments can now be completed with the HTG-1D alone, significantly improving the overall examination workflow.
The HTG-1D uses Placido disc analysis technology to precisely measure corneal data including keratometry, topography, keratoconus screening, Zernike coefficients, pupillometry, and white-to-white measurements. Results are presented as Axial, Tangential, Refractive Power, and Elevation Maps. Huvitz
This rich dataset supports a wide range of clinical applications:
Dry eye is one of the most common — and most complex — conditions in eye care. The HTG-1D goes well beyond a simple "dry or not dry" assessment. Dry eye is diagnosed from multiple angles based on indicators including tear film secretion evaluation, tear film stability assessment, meibomian gland dysfunction analysis, tear film distribution, color and pattern evaluation, blink interval measurement, corneal and conjunctival redness levels, and the OSDI self-assessment questionnaire. Huvitz
Because treatment options differ depending on the underlying cause, accurate diagnosis supports more reliable dry eye management, reduces unnecessary interventions, and plays a major role in improving patient satisfaction. Huvitz
All dry eye examinations are performed non-contact, reducing patient discomfort and enabling personalized treatment planning supported by clear, visualized reports.
The HTG-1D is built with both the clinician and the patient in mind.
A 90-degree rotating LCD, foot switch, wide headrest, auto-tracking, and sound guidance provide an optimal examination environment. The built-in PC allows seamless monitoring of the entire process — from measurement through to detailed analysis reports. Huvitz
Connectivity & Integration The HTG-1D integrates with standard DICOM networks and is compatible with the Huvitz HIIS-1, so examination data can be conveniently accessed and reviewed directly from a PC. Huvitz
The HTG-1D is well-suited for a broad range of practice settings and diagnostic needs, including:
Efficiency — Replace two instruments with one, reducing chair time and simplifying your workflow.
Depth — Go beyond surface-level measurements with Zernike analysis, KPI scoring, and eight-indicator dry eye assessment.
Reliability — Huvitz's Placido disc technology delivers consistent, high-accuracy data you can trust for critical clinical decisions.
Connectivity — DICOM compatibility and HIIS-1 integration fit seamlessly into modern, connected practices.
